how do I snag a cute piece of pottery?

About once a month I drop a new batch of pottery online. Every drop varies depending on what requests I get and what is popular at the time. The best way to stay in the loop about when these restocks happen is to join my mailing list.

how do i take care of my new pottery?

All pottery is food safe unless noted for a specific reason! Rule of thumb is unglazed pottery is not food safe. Your pottery is also dishwasher and microwave safe.

how do you determine your pricing?

The pottery process is SLOW… one piece takes a minimum of 4-6 weeks from start to finish. Each piece of pottery goes through the same basic process and is 100% made by hand. I make it on the potter’s wheel, let it dry, put it back on the wheel to trim and smooth the edges, put it in the kiln for a bisque fire, sand the piece, glaze every piece by hand, fire it again, and sand it one last time. Pricing is determined by all these factors, in addition to the size, style, and amount of detail that goes into any one item. You are always guaranteed to get a unique and original piece that no one else will have.

what payment do you accept?

My shop uses Stripe for payment. Stripe accepts all major international credit or debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Tax is included in your product price.

when will my pottery ship?

All orders are packaged by hand and sent to your address either via USPS or UPS (sometimes for larger orders) within 3-5 business days of receiving payment. You will receive a confirmation email once your order is processed. I will always communicate any changes, via email, if something comes up.

On a restock day, if you want to make sure you get a specific piece and then go back and do a second order, I will always do my best to combine your orders and refund you for any shipping overages.

how much does shipping cost?

Shipping is calculated based off of zip code and varies by weight. All shipping starts at $4 ($4 typically applies to ornaments and small items like stickers). I choose to up-cycle shipping materials I’ve saved and/or use paper products when packaging your order as much as possible.

do you ship internationally?

I currently do not offer shipping internationally through my website but if there is a piece that you’re interested in, please reach out and I we can try to make it happen on a case by case basis!

can I return an item?

Due to the nature of each handmade item, all sales are final. No refunds, returns, or exchanges are offered. If you have a specific questions regarding your order you can always reach me at sakaihartsandcrafts@gmail.com.
