Paradise
Paradise consists of six individually wheel thrown pieces that stack to form a five piece sculpture. Michelle was inspired by Japanese stone lanterns, ishi-dōrō. She imagines this piece on display in someone’s home or outside in a beautiful, bright, and relaxing garden space. Michelle spent over 40 hours just on the glazing of this piece. Each section is hand painted and glazed. Paradise is one of nine ceramic pieces originally on display for the Kiln Show at Giant Robot Gallery in April of 2024.

Made from stoneware clay, underglaze, and high fire food safe commercial glazes.
